Her story
Midwifery isn’t a career Alyson chose. It’s a calling she was born into.
Midwifery has been in Alyson’s family for three generations. Her great-grandmother was a midwife. Her mother was a midwife — and the woman who attended the births of all four of Alyson’s own children. By the time Alyson entered the profession herself, birth wasn’t something she had studied in a classroom. It was something she had grown up inside of.
That inheritance shapes everything about how she practices. The patience in her prenatal appointments. The steadiness she brings into the birth room. The belief, which she holds without apology, that a woman should never have to fight for her rights in the room where she gives birth. These aren’t values she developed in training. They were handed to her.
Today, Alyson carries that tradition forward at The Willow Birth Center — along with the tagline her mother made famous: “When Experience Matters.”

Every one of Alyson’s four children was born with her mother present as the attending midwife. That isn’t a detail she leads with because it sounds impressive. It is a detail she carries because it shaped everything about how she practices.

The Willow Birth Center opened in 2021 on Jones Road in Cypress, Texas. It was designed from the beginning around one principle: that the environment where a woman gives birth should support her, not constrain her.
The center is fully equipped for everything from routine low-risk births to the specialty cases Alyson is known for. Everything is on site. Nothing is improvised.
